Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc. has an opening for a Graduate Engineer in Houston, Texas.

Job Duties: Perform a variety of routine tasks which provide familiarity with the programs, staff and operating procedures of the firm; prepare drawings, layouts, and other engineering drafting; assist in developing plans and reports; use AutoCAD/Civil 3D to prepare alignments, surfaces, and utility networks; assist in designing site development plans including site layout, grading and utilities; develop three-dimensional layouts of existing and proposed utilities to identify and eliminate conflicts; design traffic elements of roadways, including signage and pavement markings, based on the Highway Capacity Manual, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and local agency regulations; use State and Local agencies design criteria along with AutoCAD/Civil 3D to prepare plan and profiles, cross-sections, and layouts; present site plans to permitting agencies for review and approval; review and comment on PDFs using scaled dimensions and area takeoffs in Bluebeam Revu; perform storm sewer design using spreadsheets or StormCAD; generate maps using ArcGIS; and calculate and measure plan quantities and develop unit prices from available bid data, using unit prices and quantities to prepare opinion of probable construct cost. 

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer or closely related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: 1) AutoCAD/Civil 3D; 2) Public Guidelines and Code; 3) Civil Site Development and Design; 4) E-Builder; and 5) ArcGIS Pro.
