The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Portland State University seeks outstanding candidates for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty (NTTF) Assistant Professor of Practice in Power Systems.
This teaching position focuses teaching in both undergraduate and graduate courses in a broad range of courses in electrical engineering. This 1.0 FTE 9-month teaching appointment will typically be responsible for teaching two 4-credit courses each quarter of the academic year (fall, winter, and spring). Additional responsibilities include service to the department, college, or university, capstone project supervision, curriculum and program development, and teaching laboratory directorship. The faculty member will be expected to engage with regional industry partners to strengthen power engineering career development pathways, recruit guest speakers and adjunct faculty, and inform continuous improvement of PSU’s power-track BS EE and MS ECE programs.
Requirements
Master of Science Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related discipline
Availability to teach in downtown Portland, Oregon
